Cheese Rolling

Here is one we’ve all seen and gawped at online. The Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake!

Cheese Rolling! The crazy thing with the cheese wheel flying down the hill with a bunch of crazy people chasing it.  That one.

The event was best summed up this way: "twenty young men chasing a cheese off a cliff and tumbling 200 yards to the bottom, where they are scraped up by paramedics and packed off to hospital". That was from an Australian participant, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. (Wikipedia)

And that’s what it is, you chase cheese down a hill.

This spectacular event (and I mean spectacular in every sense of the word) is an annual event held at Cooper's Hill - that’s the hill - just outside the village of Brockworth (pop. 39), near Gloucester in England.

If these pictures don’t entice you to listen and find out the full scoop, I don’t know what will!
